I’M ALREADY SLACKING!!!! I’m actually not in the rest of my life, but here, where it matters most, I am. It’s December 4th and I only have day 1 + 2 posted. Sorry internet, I have failed you. To be honest I’ve been swamped with preparing foods for my brother’s dissertation defense. It feels like something I should do as he will really appreciate it.
I have still been opening wondrous gifts, but keeping their glory all to myself. The real issue has been photographing things, which takes considerable time/skill. Who wants to read a long post about how I got this lavender eye mask on day 3 that smells like heaven and nearly put me to sleep at work? Or that the bath bomb that was paired with the eye mask smells like luxury. In these particular instances the photographs could never capture the scents that emerged after tearing through their wrappers. I know you’d still rather see photos though.
Apparently this bad boy crackles as it dissolves. I can’t wait. I will take photos from my bath.
The eye pillow looks a bit like this….except pretty. I know this is no comparison to taking real photos, but this will have to suffice for now.
Day 3 was obviously all about aromas. I can’t wait to bask in my new decadent lifestyle that Christian’s gifts are providing.
Then today happened. Day 4. This was one of the big boys. The shimmery paper revealed a clean grey box with Jason Wu impressed into the lid. I love the little details in good packaging. You know when the lip of the lid is longer than most, it comes 2/3rds of the way down the box; you can tell immediately that you’re getting into something good. And I was. Carefully encased in foam, topped with silver tinsel, 3 of the most lovely ornaments I’ve ever seen. Each clear orb has delicate lacy black design on the top with ornate gold finishings on both the top and bottom. They are divine. I will have to step up my Christmas decor to meet the beauty of these lovelies.
I can’t wait to open tomorrow! I will admit to you that I may get behind a bit, and you may have to suffer with these photos ala google while I celebrate this weekend with my soon to be Phd of a brother. See you soon!
