I know it’s been a while since I posted last. I have been in a whirlwind of hat making, dinner party hosting, traveling, and advent planning. This brings me to what I’ll be posting about this month. I know, you’re thinking it’s been months since I posted at all, now I’m saying I have a theme for December? I do actually, and I promise to follow through. An advent calendar exchange. One of my best friends (Christian) and I have been whimsically planning for the last few years to exchange advent calendars, well this is the year my friends.
We only recently decided to do it, so the last few months have been spent avidly hunting for gifts, deals, and inspiration. I can safely say I think we both went overboard. This past Saturday we exchanged our mountains of gifts. As I had to fly mine home with me, Christian came up with a labeling system to tell me which items were delicate and which needed to be in a carry on, as TSA might think some things we weapons. She was correct. TSA was worried enough to go through my nearly exploding suitcase and even unwrap an item. I have no idea how they got all the clothes and presents back in there, but nothing seems to be missing. This month will be daily posting of the gifts I receive. Christian will also be posting the gifts she receives on her blog .
Sunday was day 1 of the best advent adventure of all time and it started with a bang. And some bling. And some MARC JACOBS CLUTCH!!!! There are not enough exclamation points to express my excitement over this gift. That’s a pretty awesome start to 25 days of gifting. Plus it goes with everything and really has that holiday feel to it.
Yesterday was day 2 of the best advent adventure of all time. The shiney wrapping revealed a double duo of socks and chocolates. Christian is obviously well aware of my love of socks. Especially fun ones. What can possibly make work trousers fun? Socks…and chocolate.
I haven’t opened day 3 yet, but I promise to post as soon asap. Oh and I promise to use a better camera next time(really anything that isn’t a cell phone). See you soon!
